The most famous Greek tour is by far the Greek Night. Millions of guests have enjoyed a Greek Night with dancers and local specialties. We are proud to organise a Greek Night tour in Tripa, maybe the most traditional taverna all over Greece, in Kinopiastes village, 7 km. southwest of Corfu Town.
During those years, the taverna's reputation as a spot for genuine Corfiot fare grew, and continues to grow, so that everyone of any note singles out TRIPA for a visit during a stay on the island.
Among those who have enjoyed Tripa's famous hospitality are former Greek President Constantine Karamanlis, French President Francois Mitterand, actress Jane Fonda , Aristotle Onassis and the original Zorbas Anthony Quinn. But the patronage of the famous does not mean that TRIPA taverna is formal. The atmosphere is friendly and the service fast and attentive.
On your way to Tripa, you can visit the traditional olive press and the old machinery, beautifully converted into a museum dedicated to olive oil production and to local agricultural traditions.
Upon arrival you will be offered Tripa's unique and varied hors d' oeuvres and you'll have the chance to taste some local dishes such as country bread, seasonal mixed salad, feta cheese, local salami, tzatziki, local sausages, Spaghetti pastitsada (local speciality with veal and pasta on red sauce), roast lamb and baked potatoes with cheese. Your meal ends with seasonal fruit or Greek yoghurt with honey and as much local wine as you can drink.
The Greek Night tour is enhanced by folkloric music with an exuberant display of dances from all over Greece (including the one that the dancer bites a table and dances with it!), in which the guests may later join in.
Includes transportation and dinner as mentioned above but this tour requires a minimum of 40 guests if you wish to have the live show.
