Nissaki is the name for a whole section of the northeast coastline, and it is divided into several small bays and beaches. Getting there by driving will need approx 30min and public transport from Corfu town involves walking down from the main road to the beach or bay of your choice - always a steep walk. Parking is easier in some places than others, but it is usually free of charge in the grounds of the Nissaki Beach Hotel. The area has a lush vegetation and it's covered with the perennial olive groves.
The Nissaki resort is mostly known for the luxury villas of the area, all built on the hill facing the Ionian sea with great views of the sea and Corfu island.
The beach in Nissaki is pebbly, with steep and deep water. It's very quiet and relaxing as there is only one hotel in the vicinity. For snacks and meals you should try the hotel's taverna and beach bar, but if you are willing to walk a bit over the rocks at the other end of the beach there is a very pleasant local taverna, right on the water's edge...
Nissaki is of Corfu's top destinations for scuba diving while it is a nice choice for snorkelling too. If you are planning Corfu villa holidays for this summer, Nissaki area is one of the best and quiet choices in northeast Corfu.
Sunbeds and parasols are available at the beach at very reasonable rates. Close to Nissaki you will also find Agni and Barbati beaches.
