gialiskari beach corfu tour

Gialiskari Beach (or Yaliskari) is the beach of Pelekas village. On the west coast of Corfu, it is yet another beautiful beach of golden sand, with shallow clean waters and a fairly peaceful setting. Yaliskari beach is 17km from Corfu town and quite small. You will find sunbeds and umbrellas for rent but the size of the beach means that it soon gets crowded. To get there you should take the roads before Pelekas village - do not hesitate to ask for instructions. If you see Kontoyalos beach, keep going left.

Parking is hard as it gets full soon enough (try to get there in the morning) and the road is quite steep.
Yaliskari is not really a resort as there are hardly any facilities there. You will not find water sports or pedalo hiring but this is a quite nice area for snorkeling - at either end of the beach the rock formation gets interesting and you may find yourself swimming in the amazing waters up until the neighboring beaches!

In Yaliskari there is only one accommodation property and one restaurant (mostly Greek cuisine) which makes the beach one of the most peacefull ones on the island and this adds to the charm of the location. If you plan to stay here for your Corfu summer hoildays you can consider it as the most private and relaxful holidays you ever had. Especially after the sunset the only noises come from pine trees that run right down to the beach.
